Focus on your strengths by: Mark Jenney

People in life who achieve average results spend a lot of the time trying to focus on their areas of weakness. They try to improve those weak areas in their life. Those people in life who achieve extraordinary results focus primarily on what they are good and they focus on making the good areas great and they delegate and outsource those things they are not good at instead of trying to become good at them.

I challenge you to spend the next year focusing on the things you are really good at and delegate those things that you are not and see how much your life changes.

What's your favorite charity

I am focusing a lot of my energy now days working on a plan to expand my charitable giving and help out more in the community. Just recently I signed up for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. This is a great program and I suggest looking into it if you would like to make the difference in a child's life. You will be able to bring joy and happiness to a child who may not currently have it. Most of the children in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program are underprivileged children who could use some proper guidance and direction.

If you would like to get more information on this program check out this site: http://www.bbbs.org

Step away from your business

Sometimes as a business owner you get so involved in the running of the day to day operations that you overlook the long term goals of the company. I want to give one piece of advice to business owners and that is to step away from your business from time to time so you can make strategic decisions instead of tactical decisions. To grow your business to the next level sometimes you need to step away.

If you have a business that has one million dollars per year in revenue. You may be able to turn your company into a two million dollar per year company by making tactical decisions. However if you want to turn it into a fifty million dollar per year company that can only be done by making strategic decisions.

As business owners we all get way too wrapped up in our work sometimes. Take a few days and step away. It will make a world of difference.

Retiring from internet marketing - Mark Jenney

The time has come to start a new chapter in my business life. For the past 5 years I have had a big involvement in the online information marketing business. My company has specialized in providing digital products such as e-books and turn-key software solutions.

It has been a great learning process along the way and the knowledge and experiences I have gained are priceless. Being involved in information marketing we provided a lot of "how to" products to our customers.

Products such as an e-book on how to legally beat a speeding ticket in court, or an e-book on how to start your own e-bay or affiliate marketing business or other products such as search engine submission software that allows you to submit your website to all the search engines.

Providing these products and services has been both a good and bad experience. The great side of the "how to" business is when you receive a phone call or email from one of your customers and they tell you how using your product you changed their life for the better. The downside of the "how to" business is that sometimes people purchase the products looking for the magic solution. As it is with any "how to" product anyone purchases. You always get out of the product what you put into it.

The "how to" business is the same as a gym membership. If you purchase a gym membership and go to the gym every day and work out you get the results you want. But if you just purchase a gym membership and don't do anything thinking that just because you purchased the membership you should start losing weight you are not going to get your desired results.

The bad thing about being involved in the "how to" business is that no matter how good your product is not everyone is going to get their desired results because not everyone is willing to put in the effort. You can only provide the information you can not force them to do the work. The good thing about being involved in the "how to" business was the part of being able to change the lives of those customers who purchased the information and applied it.

The time has come for me to change the direction of my business career. I am now focusing all my time, energy and money on Philanthropy and working on my new business ventures which include real estate investing, stock investing and several new online companies that are more serviced based companies providing business to business services.

I am still working on finishing up my new charity site but it's about 90% finished. I would love to hear your feedback on the site. http://www.MarkJenneyCares.com

I look forward to sharing more of my thoughts as the process of transitioning from one business vertical to another takes place.

Creativity is more important than knowledge

"Creativity is more important than knowledge"

This is a quote from Albert Einstein. I believe this to be true. In life many people feel they are not worthy of success or feel they can not succeed because they don't have specific knowledge about something.

This is not true at all. If you are lacking knowledge but have creativity you can become successful.

Many of the most successful people throughout history did not necessarily do well in traditional school. They may have lacked traditional knowledge but they had an extraordinary amount of creativity.

There are many reasons why so many super-intelligent people, and even geniuses, do not get good grades in school. First, research has now found that there are many forms of intelligence other than just rote learning ability. And, in fact, rote learning ability is a lower-level of intelligence function.

Creativity, the highest form of intelligence, is not recognized, measured or fostered by the conventional school system. Research is now suggesting that perhaps the majority of super-creative people are slower at rote learning than people of lesser intelligence.

History is filled with scientific geniuses who made pivotal advancements in the field of science, yet got poor grades in school.

I want you to know that even if you did not get good grades in school, even if people have told you that you were not going to accomplish something, even if you think your not smart. You can succeed. Just be creative.

Moving onto new thing in business and in life - Mark Jenney

I have learned a lot over the past several years however the time has come for me to move on to new things in business and in life. I am spending more time these days on my philanthropic work. This is something that is really fulfilling.

I came from very meager beginnings so being able to help out those who are less fortunate is one of the best blessings that I have in my life. My goal now is to donate to a charitable cause every day of the year. My charitable contributions right now are at least one per week however I plan to increase my contributions to one per day.

This last year I was fortunate enough to be able to donate to many charitable causes. My goal for this year is to be able to double my donations to good charitable organizations.

I am spending more and more time these days researching different charitable causes. If anyone has suggestions on worthy causes I could either donate time or money to I would love to hear from you. I am actively looking for good causes to help out.

I am excited about where the next year or two will take me. I am in the process of starting up multiple new companies right now that are quit different from anything I have ever done before.

My major goal in business has changed. My first goal in business when I was poor and growing up on the wrong side of the tracks was to be able to provide for my family so we did not have to struggle financially any longer. Growing up at the poverty level when you are worried about having enough money for food is no fun and I wanted to make sure I didn't live like that forever and I wanted to better the lives of not just myself but my family. Now that I have been able to help provide for my family my goals have changed.

My goal now is to create a business that has ever lasting value and will be here in 100 years. I want to create a business that my great grand children will own and run. The businesses I have been involved with have been great and I have been able to help a lot of people. However they are more short term businesses that go from one promotion to the next. I am looking forward to creating a long lasting business model that is not relying on the next promotion to grow the company.

I am looking forward to the next several years as they should have many good surprises ahead.

Success Rules I Live My Life By - Mark Jenney

One of the biggest keys to success in my life is knowing where I am going and what my goals are. Without having goals to work towards is like driving across country without a map. If you don't know where you are going don't ever expect to get there.

Every day I read 4 sheets of paper to myself. The first sheet is a list of my goals I am going to accomplish. The other 3 sheets are success rules I live my life by. I want to share some of those success rules with you. I hope they can help you as much as they have helped me. I have listed the success rules below exactly as I read them to myself. Use them as they may apply to your life.

Success Rules:

1. Knowledge is not power, only potential power. I may have many great ideas, but it is the implementation of the great ideas that makes money, not just the ideas alone. Take action and make sure my ideas are implemented.

2. Surround myself with forward moving people who take action and get things done.

3. Little things change everything.

4. Ponder more than party when I succeed. When people succeed they party and when they fail they ponder. I need to ponder more then I succeed.

5. I must focus on projects/goals without distractions.

6. My job in business is to give people what they want and need. Create things that add value.

7. Don't forget I have something unique to give.

8. Be happy with my success and failures in life they are shaping and molding me into a bigger and better person.

9. Don't ever give up, always stretch and grow yourself.

10. Walk away from thoughts that don't serve you.

11. To influence someone you need to know what matters most to them.

12. Step outside my comfort zone, this is the only way to grow as a person.

13. What matters most is how people feel, not what's right. "when negotiating"

14. Meaning equals emotion and emotion equals life. Give something a new meaning and it can change your life.

15. Focus on what works not what doesn't work.

16. Life supports what supports more of life.

17. Your intention is the most important thing in influencing someone. If you are judging them you can't influence them.

18. New choices create a new life.

19. Be nice to people. People don't always know what you know. Don't expect they do.

20. The actions you consistently take create the results of your life. Change your consistent actions and you change your life.

21. When something bad happens think, what else can this mean.

22. One deal can make or break you.

23. Success is the result of good judgement.

24. Your identity is shaped by how you leave a deal, now how you start it.

25. When negotiating know your best outcome and your minimum outcome.

26. Negotiation is rarely logical.

27. People are not their behavior

28. To influence someone say what they are thinking but may not say.

29. Whoever adds the most value in life wins

30. Don't negotiate with people you love.

31. Make other people feel important

32. Consistency makes the difference in achieving success.

33. Step away from the situation more often to think about things with a clear mind.

34. Proximity is power.

35. The more people you try to serve the more insight you will get.

36. I have outgrown my old choices I need new ones. My old choices will only get me what I have they will not get me anything more.

37. Your state influences your choices. Put yourself in a better state and you will make better choices.

38. I must consistently be making progress day to day. I must schedule my day out to ensure progress.

39. In the moment your state determines your outcome, long term your blueprint will determine your outcome.

40. The fastest way to change someone else's state is to change yours.

41. Make better decisions don't be influenced by business partners or friends, unless they are a good influence.

42. When talking to someone be 100% present with them and pay all my attention to them.

43. Ask yourself better questions and you will get better answers.

44. It's never a problem of resources, its always a problem of resourcefulness.

45. Make all important decisions on paper.

46. It's the little things that shape your results in life.

47. Always ask for more than you expect in a negotiation.

48. It is impossible to produce superior results unless you do something different from the majority. - "John Templeton"

49. Learn how to ignore the examples from others when they are wrong, because few skills are more worth having. - "Charlie Munger"

50. Spend at least 30 minutes per day working on a new company, 30 minutes on investing, and 30 minutes reading.

51. There is no wealth life health. The food you eat today make you what you'll be tomorrow. So if man makes it, don't eat it. And if it tastes good, spit it out. - "Jack LaLanne"

52. Put your best people on your highest potential projects.

53. Keep things simple

54. Find markets will already built in momentum.

54. The people who make the more money are not the ones who do the most work or have the best ideas, they are the ones who lead others with good ideas who do the work.

55. With eating healthy: Rather than trying to be perfect all the time, relax and give yourself some space. Aim for the best possible in the situation and treat yourself every now and then. It is better to be 80% 100% of the time rather than 100% for two days then quit.

I hope you are able to apply some of these rules for life and success in your life.

To Your Success,
Mark Jenney

Is Physical Fitness A Key To Success?

It is my strong belief that physical fitness is a key to success in life. The definition of success in the dictionary is: "The achievement of something desired, planned or attempted". My definition of success is "the positive movement towards the attainment of a goal".

Physical fitness has been a big key to my success in life. One of the biggest goals that I have achieved success in is that of become physically fit. Several years back I was 50 pounds heavier than I am today. By developing a fitness and nutrition plan I was able to become successful in achieving my physical health and weight loss goals.

Today looking back in hindsight and I can see that physical fitness was one of the biggest keys to my personal success in all areas of life. Working out and eating healthy is one of the most important things I do for myself now.

To be a success in business you need to feed your brain good knowledge by reading books and putting yourself in proximity of other successful business people.

The same is true for achieving success with your body's health and fitness. You need to feed your body good foods and exercise often to achieve your body's maximum peak potential.

Being physically fit has helped me tremendously in my business life. Working out daily gives me more energy and brings to life the creativity in my mind. I seem to always think of the best business ideas either while I am working out or shortly there after.

#2 My book club

I am starting a book club. Your probably asking yourself what does this mean? Well I am a very avid reader and I read new books usually on a weekly basis. Mainly I read books on marketing, business, success, investing, personal development, staying fit and being healthy. However sometimes I may read a book a little off those subjects. Anyways from time to time I read books that are really good and have made a big impact in my life.

So I am going to send a copy of these books to people in my book club. I am not doing this to make a profit. I am doing it to share knowledge that has helped me and I want to pass it along to you so it can help you too.

If you are interested in joining my book club send me a message either on this blog, facebook, twitter, or email. I would be happy to add you to the list. I will not be sending out books on a normal schedule. It will only be when I read a book that I feel is really good. I will then send you a copy. So I may send you a book every week or every month or every three months. It will all depend on when I come across a good book that I feel can help you.

If you are interested in growing and changing as a person and want to be successful then my book club may be for you. Let me know I would be happy to add you to the list.

Be Persistent

One of the key reasons that most people never become successful with a business or with anything else for that matter is very simple. Most people are stopped too easily. They give up at the first sign of failure.

There is a barrier to success you must know this when trying to accomplish anything. It is very rare for somebody to get through the success barrier on the first try. Before I accomplished my first real success in business I had more than 20 prior businesses that I started. Some had minor success, while others were complete failures. But it took me more than 20 tries in business before I had a real success. 90 percent of people who are successful in any field were failures many times before they became successful.

You must understand that failing is a part of success. There is usually one main ingredient that separates the successful from the unsuccessful and that is persistence. The success barrier is just like a brick wall, it must be hit many times before it cracks and finally crumbles.

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not, nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not, unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not, the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

Be persistent and you will be successful!

Love those who don't love you

Anyone can love someone who loves them.

But is that love?

Do you really love people if you only love those who love you. I am not trying to preach religion but here are a few good passages from the bible that are worth reading and living your life by regardless of your religious outlook.

Don't just read them but live them. By loving thy enemy you are making the world a better place. Hate only breads more hate and love breads more love.

Luke 6:27 - "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you"

This reminds me of a story Tony Robbins was telling me a few months ago when we were in Mexico. Tony was telling me about a plane ride he took with Mikhail Gorbachev the former Soviet President. Tony asked President Gorbachev what was the exact point when he knew the Cold War was going to end. Mikhail told him it was in the middle of a heated debate with President Reagan when President Reagan came over to him and put his hand on his shoulder and said lets go out side and take a walk. The two presidents took a walk outside and Gorbachev said that Reagan showed him so much love and compassion and it was at that moment that he knew the cold war was about to end.

This is an example of how a person who showed some love to someone who did not have love for him in return changed the history of the world. You can change your world by loving those who don't love you. I ask you to "know no enemy, only friends."

Luke 6:28 - "Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you"

Pray for those who mistreat you. Everyone in this world has people who love them and people who hate them. By wishing the best for those who curse you and mistreat you not only are you helping them, but you are helping yourself. People can sometimes say mean and nasty things to others. Sometimes they even say these things to those who they don't know. But thats OK you can't alway please everyone, not everyone is going to like you. But don't hate those who hate you, shower them with love. I have nothing but love and wish the best for both those who love me and those who do not. I wish both those who love me and hate me love, happiness, health, wealth, and success.

Below are a few passages that are worth reading and worth living your life by.

Luke 6:32 - Luke 6:36 - If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

My best wishes go out to all who read this blog, rather you love me or hate me. Remember I Love You.

Do You Need School To Be Successful?

Success takes persistence. Success takes being willing to fail and learn so you can go back and start again. I truly believe anyone with average mental capacity, common sense, self-confidence, and perseverance can be successful.

I do not believe advanced schooling is necessary for someone to achieve success. But don’t trust my word for it. A lot of geniuses throughout history did not do well in school. Take a look at the list of people below who are and were considered highly successful.

Sir Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein flunked out of school. Winston Churchill failed one year of high school. Thomas Edison was considered inept at math and a poor reader. Richard Branson dropped out of school at the age of 16. Steve Wozniak, the genius behind the first Apple computers flunked out of college. Dave Thomas, founder of “Wendy’s” did not complete high school.

These are just a few people though out history who did not do well in School but went on to become massively successful. The reason I am writing about this subject today is because I know first hand you don’t have to do well in school to become successful. I myself dropped out of high school and have gone on to become successful.

Many people in life believe the myth that they are not smart enough to become successful because they didn’t get good grades in school. This is an absolute lie. School only measures one thing. The ability to do those tasks which are required in school. Tasks required in school do not take a high level of mental ability and are only a one-dimensional measurement of intellect. School is important for learning the basics, but it is not the begin-all, end-all that educators will lead you to believe.

The biggest reason people don’t succeed is because they have a low self-image and don’t have any self confidence. If there is one thing I could pass on to you it would be to develop self-confidence and a positive self image.

You do not have to be born with self-confidence and a positive self-image. It can be developed over time even if you have no self-confidence today and a poor self-image you can turn that around. I can tell you this from personal experience. I used to have absolutely no self-confidence in almost all areas of my life and I had a horrible self-image. Today I have more self-confidence than anyone I know and I have a great positive image of myself.

99% of problems that are holding people back from achieving success come from their own belief that they can’t succeed. Throughout history, the biggest enemy of success for an individual has always been that person himself or herself. Your biggest roadblock to success will be a lack of self-confidence.

If you don’t have a winning attitude you don’t stand a chance of success. People who succeed do so because they believe in them selves and they believe they are going to succeed before anything ever materializes.

People who have the most success in life also have the most failures. The people who succeed don’t let the failures get them down. They realize that it’s all just part of playing they game. In order to have massive success most times you have to have massive failures, however those who win in life look at those failures as learning experiences.

I never think about failing it is not even a thought that ever enters my heard. In order to be successful you need to develop the same confidence and attitude. A reporter once asked Muhammad Ali “Since you are so boastful, don’t you worry about what’s going to happen if you lose?” Ali replied, “I’m not going to lose. It doesn’t even enter my mind. I just don’t think like that.”

Having this attitude does not make you immune from having failures. To a loser a failure is the end of it all. But to a winner, it is simply just part of the learning process. Something to be corrected next time around, an obstacle to overcome. It’s not the end.

Here are two old proverbs that I believe to be true – “You can do anything you want to do, if you want to do it badly enough” and – “You are what you think you are.”

Expanding Your Vision Of Success

It's always good to expand your vision of success. Sometimes when people become successful they feel as if they have reached the pinnacle and no longer feel the need to grow or change as a person. In life you are either growing or dying, you can not remain at the same level for a long period of time. The rich get richer because they keep growing their financial skills, super star sports athletes get better because they keep practicing.

Today my vision of success became expanded even more. My personal story is this, I grew up on the wrong side of town in a low income area. I struggled as an entrepreneur and finally became successful. After achieving success I did what so many other people who achieve success do. What is that you ask?

I stopped what I was doing. I no longer was reading books, working on new businesses, getting out there to meet new people. I felt as if I had reached the mountain top. I was successful and I no longer needed to grow as a person and learn more. I felt as if I had "made it."

So this attitude I had continued on for about two years after my first major success. Guess what happened? Yep thats right you guessed it. My business didn't grow, my net worth went down and I wasn't even happy. Here I was with all this "stuff" that I used to think would make me happy. Then when I got it, it was not very fulfilling. I was thinking to myself...."is this it." I always used to think that the accumulation of the "stuff" was what made someone happy. This is not the case at all.

I was happiest during the journey, not once I had achieved the "success". Finally after about two years of sitting on the sidelines enjoying my "success and my stuff" I realized that everything I had read about a person either growing or dying is true. I then got off my butt and started back on my next journey toward a greater success. I have been on this journey towards my next big success in life for about two years now and it is amazing how much your perspective changes as your experience grows.

When I first started out in business my idea of success was to make a lot of money. My idea of success is completely different now days. Today my idea of success is to help make the world a better place and positively impact the lives of as many people as I can through my businesses and charitable donations. I'm sure that in 10 years my idea of success will have expanded and changed and will be completely different than what it is today.

Today I spent sometime at the home of Scott Wolstein who is the former CEO of Developers Diversified Realty. Scott has been a very successful businessman. In 2006 he was #76 on Forbes list of total CEO compensation. That year Scott made $17.5 million dollars to round off his last 5 years coming up to 2006 of $69.3 million dollars in compensation.

Now that you know who Scott is let me tell you what it was about my experience at his home today that expanded my vision of success. When I was young before I ever had any financial success at all I always used to drive around all the nice neighborhoods across town and look at all the big homes thinking to myself one day I am going to own a home like this. At the time I was looking at 4000 square ft homes thinking they were really big mansions. At that time for me they were as I grew up in an 800 square foot house.

As I started to achieve a little success I found myself driving by houses that were a little bigger 6000 to 9000 square ft.

Today my vision has expanded even further. Scott's home that I spent time in today is 36,000 square feet and sits on 150 acres. It was the most beautiful home I have ever been in and I have been in a lot of very nice houses.

I want to get the message across that sometimes in order to have a clear vision of your goals you need to put those goals right in front of your eyes. For example if you want a big new home then you should go and call a realtor and have them show you big new homes. I did this when I had $1000 in my bank account. I had a realtor show me million dollar homes, I would go to open houses every weekend for almost a year. I had a goal and I wanted to make the goal vividly clear so I went and put myself in the environment of that goal.

If your goal is to own a Ferrari then you need to to go a luxury car store and sit in that car and picture yourself having it in your garage one day. I did the same thing here, I used to go to the luxury car store an hour away from where I lived at the time and sit in the cars before I could even afford the insurance on a $100,000 + car. The message I want to get across is that whatever your goal is you need to put yourself in proximity of that goal. Picture yourself having it, take action and before you know it you will have accomplished your goal. The only person holding you back from achieving your goals is yourself.

In this post I'm using goals that are material based goals. My major goals in life are not material based goals. Once you accomplish your material based goals you will realize there are much more important goals that are so much more meaningful than any "thing" you can buy. My important goals in life, are family and philanthropy. These are much more important than all the nice homes and cars in the world. But don't get me wrong it feels good to have nice stuff. I have been both well off and poor and I like being well off much better.

I want to end this with one simple message. The more you give the more you get. The people who contribute the most to the world are compensated the most. It really is true the more you give the more you get.

Getting The Best Results In Business and In Life

I am going to share two secrets with you right now that will help you get the absolute best results both in your business and in your personal life.

#1 Find the best people. This goes both for business and your personal life. Let's talk about finding the best people in business first.

Finding the best people is one of the most important aspects of having success in business. Without having the best people on your team it is very hard to succeed, however if you have the best people on your team it's very hard to fail.

Always hire and work with people who are better than you in whatever area of business you are working on. I will talk about an example of this in my company. We have been struggling for the past two years on one key part of our business. This was a part of business that no one in our company was an expert. We tried training several people from within the company on how to become an expert in this field, however we did this with no success. After spending almost two years and tons of money we were back to square one.

Finally we decided to go after an actual expert in the field who had a proven track record. Now this person will end up paying for himself 10 times over. A very nice asset (also a great person) who will be paid very good for the work he is doing for our company.

We missed out on a lot of potential profits by not finding the best person to fill the position earlier. After almost two years of just dragging along finally we decided to go out and hire the best person for the job and it has paid off big time. He is now generating as much revenue in 2 days as the entire department used to generate in a whole month.

If you have an area of your business that is not prospering I urge you to go out and find the absolute best person you can add to your team. When you have a WINNER on the team he/she also helps bring up all the other players on the team as well.

The people in business who have the best people on their team always make the most money and they alway win!

This is also true in your personal life. I would say this is more important in your personal life than in business. Surround your self with the best people. You were born into a certain social environment. You are not forced to stay there, if the people around you are not the people who you could look up to or look at as a good role model. Surround yourself with new people. What determines where you will be at in 5 years is the books you read and the people your surround your self with.

#2 Focus - One of the easiest ways to fail in business and in life is to try and focus on too many things. Those people who do this never accomplish one singular thing with excellence. If you find yourself working on too many projects that you never end up having massive success with any one of them, you need to step back look at everything you have on the table. Figure out which one looks to be the most promising and focus all your energy and attention on that project until it is complete.

This is a huge stumbling block for so many people. I have been very guilty of this myself in the past. I would try to work on 30 things at once and I would never have success with any of them. When I started focusing on one project at a time my results went through the roof.

Baja Mexico - Off Road Trip / Teaching High School Kids About Being An Entrepreneur

Here's a picture of our group teaching high school entrepreneurs in Baja Mexico. The guy standing up pointing is Marketing Expert Joe Sugarman the creator of the Blue Blocker Sunglasses. Joe sold 20 million pairs of sunglasses. "I'm sitting on the left with the tie".

I want to talk a little bit about a great site that allows you to give micro loans to entrepreneurs in third world countries. But first I will share a little info about my trip I just returned from.

On Sunday night I returned from a week down in Baja Mexico. I took a trip with a great group of entrepreneurs, business leaders and philanthropists. The trip was a great experience we had 3 days of wild off-road adventure driving starting outside Loreto, Mexico and ending in Cabo San Lucas. We drove a good section of the famous Baja 1000 course along mountain roads, majestic ocean-view vistas and untamed trails not accessible to most others.

After arriving in Cabo we held a mini seminar for a group of young entrepreneurs in high school. Luckily one of the guys in our group was from Spain so he was able to translate to the kids. This was a great experience and proved to be very beneficial for the kids. The group brought some reading material down for the students unfortunately it was in english and the children can only read spanish so I am sending 50 copies of the book Rich Dad Poor Dad in spanish down to the children. If you have not read this book yet it is an absolute must read. It is a great book for anyone with an entrepreneurial mindset.

I met a great business owner and philanthropists down there by the name of Bobby Chang. Bobby is one of the founders of the company "Incase" they produce computer and phone cases for Apple - www.GoInCase.com. Bobby was very generous in donating $10k to the charitable causes we were down there supporting.

Bobby informed me of a great site that allows you to give micro loans to Entrepreneurs in third world countries. Kiva.org - you can give business loans to people in third world countries, loaning as little as $25. These loans are changing the lives of thousands of people. Check out the site, you can view information on the person, what they are using the loan for along with a bunch of other useful information. I am going to start giving micro loans via Kiva on a regular basis and I urge you to check it out. You can change someone else's life with a loan of as little as $25. Kiva has a very high repayment rate of over 98% on all outstanding loans.

The actions you consistently take create the results of your life. Change your consistent actions and you change your life.

If you are not achieving the success you want in life you need to change your consistent daily actions. This is true in all areas of life rather you are trying to lose weight, make money money, make more friends, etc...

Your results in life will come from your consistently daily actions. If you go interview people who are very successful in any field and ask them "what made you successful" most of the time they will not be able to pin point it to one action they took on one specific day. It is the cumulative effect of their daily actions over a period of time that made them successful.

If you want to change your life all you need to do is change your daily actions. Something that has helped me do this is having a daily to do list. Before I go to bed each night I make sure I have checked off and completed everything on my daily to do list. Here is part of my daily to do list. You should make your own daily to do list, your list should include actions that will help you accomplish your goals.

Here's part of what's on my daily to do list:

- Read promise sheet in morning "this is my goal sheet"
- Give thanks for blessings and pray in morning
- Read my personal business and success tips sheet
- Spend at least 30 minutes going over my investments
- Drink 2 fresh fruit/vegetable juices
- Drink a shot of wheat grass
- Drink 10 glasses of water
- Work - run 2 miles
- 100 push ups
- 100 sit ups
- Listen to business audio program while running
- Read for at least 30 minutes
- Read twitter/tech crunch
- Read promise sheet in the evening
- Give thanks for blessings and pray

I personally find it very helpful to have a daily to do list with all these items on it. By having a check list it allows me to never to forget these small actions that repeated consistently over a period of time allow me to accomplish my goals and achieve success.

I urge you to create a goal sheet of your own that has a daily check list. If you do this after 30 days you will start to notice some real progress.

Life is fragile...

This week has been an eye opener for me. Life is such a precious thing and is so fragile. Make sure to enjoy today while planning for tomorrow. So much of my life has been spent planning for tomorrows success, I have not spent enough time enjoying the success of today.

This week several things have happened that have changed my outlook slightly on how I look at life and how I need to enjoy my accomplishments of today more.

I am traveling right now and after spending some time in Honduras and Belize and seeing the standard of living of those people who live in a third world country makes you appreciate the simple things you take for granite every day. Traveling to these places makes you realize what a great country America is and how blessed everyone who is born in the United States really is. Even the people who are in the lower income brackets living in public housing in the United States have a standard of living that is just leaps and bounds above those who are living in third world countries. Let alone those who have achieved financial success.

It's funny how your perspective changes when you are exposed to these such things. Last week before coming on this trip I find myself thinking about some of my business goals. Today I find myself thinking about how lucky I am just to be born in America. I like most other entrepreneurs are always striving to achieve the next goal. Sometimes not spending enough time enjoying the successes I have already accomplished. I urge you to take a few minutes and look at your life and all the things you have in your life to be thankful for.

Life is a special thing and you never know when today will be your last. I want to send my thoughts and prayers to all of those who were affected by the horrible tragedy that occurred in Haiti. As of the last news update on CNN they expect the death toll to be at 50,000+. This is such a tragedy, I am going to be donating some money to the Red Cross and I urge all of you out there to do the same. Help out in any way you can. It is going to take a lot of money, time, and effort from thousands of people to help those who have been affected by this earthquake. With Haiti's infrastructure being sub-par already there is going to be so much travesty from this natural disaster. Everyone reading this is blog right now is in a better spot than those in Haiti and I urge you to help in any way possible. If you would like to donate to the Red Cross you can do so here: http://www.redcross.org. Click the big red button that say's "donate now".

Today I would also like to send my thoughts and prayers out to Ryan Johnson and his family and close friends. Ryan was an internet entrepreneur who grew up a few towns away from me. I was not really close with Ryan but from the few times I hung out with Ryan he was always very friendly. Everyone I know who was closer with Ryan said he had a huge heart and was always trying to help out other people. Ryan had a great sense of humor and was very funny. Today I received the tragic news that Ryan died in a house fire late last night.

Ryan was always full of energy and so kind. I just saw him while shopping at target about two weeks ago. He was telling me that he was planning on going to Utah to Ski in the next several weeks. I pray for you buddy and my thoughts are with you and your family and close friends. RIP RJ.

I normally like to talk about things that are more positive and uplifting however due to the recent tragedies that have happened I felt that this was the best blog post. I really hope that you look at your life and appreciate all the things that you have. There are so many things to be thankful for, be thankful just for being alive, be thankful for your health, be thankful that you have clean drinking water. By thankful for being an American. I know I am thankful for these things and so many more. Always push forward towards tomorrows success but don't forget to cherish todays.

Is your brain keeping you from success?

The biggest thing that keeps people from achieving success is themselves! If you took a survey asking people if they feel they are successful in life. Most people would not say yes, you would hear a lot of um... sorta... kinda... etc.... So what is keeping them from achieving success? It's their self belief. Most people don't believe in themselves. They don't believe they can achieve success in whatever it is they want. They believe others can achieve success but not them.

Whatever you let your mind accept as true, becomes true. When you tell yourself something the mind does not verify the accuracy of any statement it receives. It merely records it for later retrieval. Your mind works like a computer, it does not change the data you put in. If you tell yourself you will be successful and truly believe it then you will be successful.

If you think you can or think you can't you are always right. Our self belief will almost always dictate in advance whether we will succeed or fail at whatever you are trying to accomplish. The great thing is that we can control what we put in our mind and we can even manufacture the information sent to our brain.

If you study people who are very successful which is something I have been doing since the age of 13. You will find out that every highly successful person knew they were going to successful before they actually were considered a success.

I can attest to this in my own life as well. I remember when I was young living just above the poverty level knowing that one day I was going to be financially successful. At that time, I had no money, no ideas, and I had no one to help mentor me towards becoming a financial success. But I knew in my mind that it was only a matter of time before I was successful. I had the drive and self belief, I knew I was going to be successful even though there was nothing around to support the thought of me becoming successful. I knew and truly believed I was going to.

Several years later I achieved my goal of becoming financially successful and my goals and dreams grew much bigger. Now my goals and dreams are to help impact the lives of millions of people through charitable work and by helping other people achieve their dreams and goals. I will soon be a New York Times best selling author as that is one of my next goals. As of today I have not written a book to be published and distributed however I know it is only a matter of time and when I do write my book it will be a New York Times Best seller.

I hope you realize that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to no matter how big or small. You are the only person holding yourself back from achieving your goals. I wish you nothing but success in life.

Make more money from your website

If you want to make more money online this short blog talks about a very powerful secret that you need to know.

One of the biggest things that can impact your online business in a positive way is split testing. Of all the online marketers I know it seems that almost every one who is very successful is always doing split tests.

The great thing about split testing is that you can come out with a site that only has marginal conversions but if you constantly split test before you know it your site will be converting like crazy.

Recently I put a new rule in place in our company. We have split tests running on everyone of our sites every day. One of the "secret" techniques that has allowed me to build a successful online marketing company is that we do split tests all the time.

The more you split test your website(s) the more money you will make long term. This is a proven fact. One downfall that I see people doing all the time, which is something I used to be guilty of as well is that they will have a successful website that is making money so they will act as if they have arrived and that their site is perfect and there is no need to do split tests because they are making money from the site.

While it may be true you may be making money from the site, you are only earning a small portion of what you would be earning if you were constantly split testing.

This is one of the key elements that separates the people online who are successful to the people who are really successful. If you want to make more money online then split test more often.

Donating to charity

I'm working on a new project that I'm really excited about. Soon I will be launching www.MarkJenneyCares.com. This site is going to be based around charitable contributions. Once the site launches I will be donating money to different charities every day of the year.

The site will keep track of which charities I have donated money to, how much money has been donated and how many peoples lives have been impacted from the donations. You will also be able to suggest charities for me to donate money.

I am doing this as part of my philanthropic efforts and to raise the awareness that giving back to those less fortunate is a very important part of life. Every successful person I have come in contact with or have read about has the same view on giving back. The more you give the more you receive.

It's really true, if you don't have a lot of money now then the first thing you need to do is give money to a worthy cause you believe in. The world will give back to you in multiples that of which you give. If you don't feel loved, give love and you will receive love back many times over.

I know some people are thinking OK well I will give money to charity when I have more money. That's not the way the world works. If you aren't willing to give now, don't ever expect to give when you have "more money." The more people you can help the more the world tends to help you.

My favorite blog to read

If you're involved in anyway with technology, or business I want to highly suggest you checkout Tech Crunch - http://www.techcrunch.com . If you aren't currently reading tech crunch your missing out. This is a must read for any business owner that is involved with the Internet. I must say I have become addicted to reading Tech Crunch every day. I was never a fan of any blogs until several months when I came across TC. Ever since then I have not been able to let a day pass by without staying up to speed with what's going on with the TC blog.

On a side note I'm going to be traveling extensively over the next several weeks. This saturday I will be going on Mike Filsaime's yearly marketers cruise. Every year Mike has a cruise for a bunch of successful Internet Marketers. If you're interested in going next year check out his site: http://www.marketerscruise.com/

The following weeks are followed up with going to Las Vegas for the affiliate summit, then to Baja Mexico with a group of entrepreneurs. A lot more traveling coming soon.

My first blog post - By Mark Jenney

It's funny that this is my first blog post. I have been marketing on the Internet for years now but have never posted a personal blog. On this bog I plan to share insight on things that have helped me along the path to success in life.

I'm not limiting the term "SUCCESS" to just financial success. Although I have been able to achieve a level of financial success, the success I have achieved in my personal life with my health and love life has been more important than any amount of money.

Over the past few years I have gone through many wonderful learning experiences in all areas of my life. I went from struggling in business to having a prosperous business and being able to help many others along the way.

I went from being 40 pounds overweight, depressed with very few friends to being in almost perfect physical shape being happy all the time with more quality friends than I can count and having more of an impact on the world by contributing time and money to charities and helping other people achieve their goals.

I have learned a great deal along my path towards what I consider "SUCCESS" in life. I am happy to be able to share some of these things with you.
